Dice games: one number, one bet, one calculation

You bet on whether a number falls above or below a threshold. There is hardly less mechanic to be had — and that is exactly why what a cashier does is most visible here.

01

Why the family is so transparent

Threshold and payout

The threshold can be set, and the payout changes with it. Both numbers stand on screen before the round, and their relation to each other is the whole calculation. No bonus rounds, no symbols, no fitting-out to obstruct the view of the numbers.

That makes this family a special case in one respect: the gap between what would come out mathematically and what the cashier pays is directly readable here. In no other family does it lie so open.

02

What that reveals about the cashier

And what it does not

What is readable is the gap for the threshold set. What is not readable is whether the underlying number really arises as described — that would need a check nobody here has made. Some operators provide procedures with which a single round can be recomputed; whether and how well that works stands with them and not here.

03

Why the family suits this site

Numbers instead of fitting-out

This comparison scores cashiers by what can be read. Dice games are the family with the least standing between the number and the player — which fits the build of this site. Two of the cashiers read have their focus expressly there.

The play button leads to the same address in every row: the casino this site is paid for, and not the operator printed beside it. To reach the operator's own entry, take «Read the entry» next to it.

The score measures the cashier and not the range of games — the five inputs stand in the method.

05

What dice does to the payment route

Pace and fee

The network fee hangs on the space a transfer takes up and not on its size. For this family that means: Short rounds and small stakes lead to the same trap as crash: frequent small deposits that are dear in proportion. The difference is that this family is played anyway by people who already hold a settlement coin — which removes the dearest item, the exchange.

Think about that beforehand and you choose the route into the cashier differently from the route back out — and save at the only place where anything can be saved while playing at all. The sum stands on the fees page, the routes in proportion on the networks page.

06

Dice and planning an evening

The plainest arithmetic in the house

Every family demands a different kind of limit. With dice it is the threshold: it is adjustable, and the payout changes with it — this is the only family in which those two numbers stand openly side by side before every round.

Fix beforehand

  • The threshold you play at — and whether it is moved mid-sitting
  • A time window, because a round here takes seconds
  • An amount in francs for the whole sitting
  • A note after the sitting, in francs rather than in coins

Do not decide while playing

  • Whether the amount goes up «one more time» — that is the decision which cancels a limit
  • Whether the sitting is extended because the balance is just now good or just now bad
  • Whether a bonus is accepted after all, with its conditions unread
  • Whether to top up because the deposit is «already on its way anyway»

That sounds obvious and is the place where the family actually makes a difference: a limit in francs holds in every family, a limit in rounds holds only where a round lasts roughly the same. More on that on the measured play page.

What stands on this page describes the family and not a particular title. Return figures stand only where a source comes with them, and systems or predictions appear for no family.

Questions people actually type

Answered from the same records as the page
How does a dice game in a casino work?

You bet on whether a generated number falls above or below an adjustable threshold. The payout changes with the threshold.

Can a round be recomputed?

Some operators provide a procedure for it. Whether and how well it works stands with them — it was not checked here.

Are there staking sequences that work?

No. No sequence changes the arithmetic of a single round.
